What is the IDJA?

We are an Indiana-based association of professionals working congruently to advance and promote the integrity and importance of the mobile DJ and various entertainers in all regions of Indiana.

Membership shows that you are a serious business professional in your field of expertise and places in the top 10 percent of professionals in this state working toward common goals to promote the interests of the Indiana DJ profession. How does this organization compare to other national associations?

We provide local networking, support, seminars and a state convention that will be easier and more affordable to attend. Potential customers in Indiana look for DJs in Indiana, not a national database. We direct them specifically to you in your requested service locations. A local association is more capable of putting you in contact with other DJs, equipment and services that you may need in an emergency. A state association allows you the opportunity to have direct input into the industry that you serve.

When do my membership and benefits begin?

All full-year memberships begin on January 1st and end on December 31^st of each year. Rates are pro-rated for the month your membership is activated. Your benefits begin and your membership materials are shipped to you as soon as your membership is accepted.

How much are membership fees?

The IDJA offers different memberships levels: Business Member / Associate Member / Affiliate Member / Radio Member.  The current fees are listed on this site with each description.

What is your DJ certification program?

The IDJA certification program is a prestigious accreditation you can add to your business portfolio, conveying to your perspective clients and peers that you are among the top five percent of professional disc jockeys in Indiana.
Your certification shows that you adhere to the highest standards of professionalism. Certified DJs command a higher rate for performance than regular DJs and their services are in greater demand. Certification is the IDJA’s "Seal of Approval". 

Do I have to be a DJ to join the IDJA?

No, we offer an affiliate membership for other professionals affiliated with the entertainment industry such as photographers, caterers, bands, musicians, comedians, magicians, limo services, banquet facilities or any business that provide services for the purpose of entertaining or supporting entertainment.

Affiliate memberships are also available to the general public who wish to support the IDJA.
